53-year-old man killed in single-vehicle crash in Beaver Co.

BEAVER CO., UT – A man wa killed last Wednesday in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Beaver County, ABC 4 reports.

The crash occurred at about 12:36 p.m. when the driver of a gray BMW SUV lost control on the northbound lanes of I-15 and skidded off the side of the roadway. The vehicle then rolled an unknown number of times before crashing into a roadside tree.

The driver, 53-year-old Jason Almond, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police say he was wearing a seatbelt when the incident occurred.

Investigators believe Almond swerved to avoid striking a semi-truck that was disabled in the roadway.
