SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A female pedestrian died Friday night in Salt Lake City after a vehicle struck her at a busy intersection near Poplar Grove.
The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Redwood Road and I-80, which is between I-215 and I-15.
The investigation thus far indicates that the woman was attempting to cross South Redwood Road when a northbound vehicle struck her and then fled the scene.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim, nor have they located the drive or vehicle responsible for the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
