Narrative
MAGNA, UT – Emergency crews responded to a double-fatality collision in west-central Salt Lake County last Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at UT-201 and South 7200 West in the city of Magna. This is about 15 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.
Police say that the driver of an eastbound BMW failed to yield right of way and T-boned a northbound Mustang.
Medics transported the driver of the BMW to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Both the driver and passenger in the Mustang died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released their names to the public.
Officials closed roads for over five hours while crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
