Narrative

JORDAN, UT – A 31-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in south-central Salt Lake County.

Emergency crews responded to a major crash in the area of Redwood Road and South Jordan Parkway in South Jordan shortly after 9:30 p.m. South Jordan is around 17 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Police say that a northbound motorcyclist may have been speeding when he T-boned a southbound SUV that was making a left turn into a parking lot along Redwood Road.

The biker died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities haven’t yet released his name to the public.

The driver of the SUV did not sustain injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
