TREMONTON, UT – A teen girl died early Tuesday morning in Tremonton when a garbage truck struck her as she rode her bike near a busy intersection.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. in the area of 1500 West and Main Street, which is between Veterans Memorial Highway and Iowa String Road.
The circumstances of the accident are still unclear, and authorities have not yet commented on the identity of the victim except to say that she was a junior at Bear River High School.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
