Driver injures self and 1 other after failing to stop at red light

ST. GEORGE, UT – Two people were injured after a collision off I-15 southbound when one driver ran a red light on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

According to Cedar City News, a male driver in a GMC truck was traveling northwest on the Bluff Street overpass and did not stop for the red light on the west side of the overpass.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old female driver in a Ford Bronco was exiting I-15 southbound when she pulled up to Bluff Street to make a left turn.

The driver of the GMC collided with the Bronco as the female driver was turning at the green light on Bluff.

He was cited for failure to obey a traffic signal and for failure to register a vehicle or expired registration.

Both drivers were transported to St. George Regional Hospital.
