Narrative
GRAND CO., UT – Two people died Tuesday night as a result of a wrong-way collision along the highway in south-central Grand County.
Police responded to the two-vehicle accident around 8 p.m. on State Route 191 just south of Moab and north of Spanish Valley.
Authorities say that a 50-year-old driver of a Chevy Equinox was headed north when he veered into the southbound lane of traffic and crashed head-on into a southbound Toyota Camry.
The 46-year-old driver of the Toyota, identified as Jennifer Relph, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported Relph’s juvenile passenger to a local hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as Martin Espinoza, died after transport to the hospital.
A full investigation is underway.
