Hit-and-run driver hits gas meter, causes gas leak in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A Monday morning crash on the 2050 block of South Redwood Road led to a gas leak. 

A truck slammed into a gas meter which caused the leak, FOX 13 Now said. The driver allegedly fled the scene on a bicycle. 

One passenger from the truck was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police are working to identify the contributing factors to Monday’s collision and the hit-and-run driver. Anyone with information about the collision can contact the number listed in the initial source.
