Narrative
IRON CO., UT – A 46-year-old and a 16-year-old died Tuesday night when their van collided with two other vehicles along a state highway north of Enoch.
The incident happened just after 9:40 p.m. on UT-130 near milepost 13, which is west of I-15 and northwest of the Dixie National Forest.
The investigation indicates that a northbound van veered into the southbound lane and struck the side of a trailer attached to a farm tractor and a southbound pickup truck. The force of these collisions caused the van to overturn.
Both occupants from the van died. Authorities identified the adult as Jason Flint.
It is unclear if anyone from the tractor or pickup truck sustained injuries, and police have not yet commented on what might have caused the van to lose control.
A full investigation is underway.
