Pedestrian fatally struck by 2 cars in Poplar Grove area

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles southwest of downtown Salt Lake City on Friday morning, reports KSL.

Salt Lake City police were called to the intersection of 800 South and 900 West at around 6:45 a.m. on January 28. They arrived to find a pedestrian who had been hit by a pair of vehicles, both of which remained at the scene.

Officers attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful, and the unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say this was the city’s first traffic-related death of the year.
