MIDVALE, UT – Three people were taken to the hospital following a suspected DUI crash in the Midvale area Sunday, July 23rd.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. when Javier Rivero Rodriguez, driving a Volkswagen at a high speed, struck a vehicle in a separate lane waiting to turn left, causing a four-vehicle accident.
Three people involved in the crash were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The Midvale Police Department reported Rodriguez smelled strongly of alcohol, slurred his speech, and had difficulty maintaining balance. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
