Narrative
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver associated with a possible road rage incident against a pickup truck on Tuesday in Salt Lake City.
The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-80 near the Bangerter Highway, which is just south of the Salt Lake City International Airport.
The investigation thus far indicates that a white lifted pickup truck rear-ended a silver Ford Ranger on the interstate. The driver of the Ford Ranger changed lanes, at which point the lifted pickup sideswiped his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The Ford Ranger sustained substantial damage to the rear and side.
Police are referring to the crash as a road rage incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
