Narrative
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A wrong-way driver died early Sunday morning when her sedan collided with an SUV along the interstate in Salt Lake City, reports abc 4.
The accident happened around 4:15 a.m. on the eastbound I-80 exit ramp to southbound I-15, which is west of downtown Salt Lake City.
Police say that the female driver of a red Mazda 3 entered the southbound side of I-15 driving northbound and collided head-on with a Chevy Suburban. The Chevy was entering southbound I-15 from the I-80 eastbound ramp.
The unrestrained driver of the Mazda died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
The driver of the Chevy went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
