Narrative

LEHI, UT – Emergency teams responded to a three-vehicle injury crash in north-central Utah County on Friday.

The incident occurred shortly before noon near the intersection of Mill Pond Road and Pioneer Crossing in the city of Lehi. This is about 16 miles northwest of Provo.

Police say that an initial collision involving a diesel vehicle and a cement truck caused a wrong-way crash involving the former vehicle and an SUV.

Medics transported the driver of the SUV to an area hospital with serious injuries.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.

Officials closed the northbound side of Mill Pond Road while crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
