Narrative
ROY, UT – According to KUTV News, two people were injured, including a 3-year-old child, in an accident in Roy on Wednesday night.
The crash was reported shortly before 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of 1900 West and Hinckley Drive. Authorities say a driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collision was traveling northbound, reportedly with an emergency to attend to. The driver came to a stop at a red light at the 1900 West and Hinckley Drive intersection, but decided to continue through the red light. At the same moment, a driver was traveling westbound through a green light at the intersection and crashed into the northbound vehicle, and the westbound vehicle rolled over several times before coming to a stop in a field just off the roadway.
The two people in the westbound vehicle, a 27-year-old male driver and his 3-year-old child, sustained serious injuries in the accident and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the northbound vehicle was also hospitalized with injuries, but remains in stable condition.
