Narrative
ST. GEORGE, UT – A major accident involving a vehicle and a motorized scooter seriously injured two teenagers in St. George on Friday.
The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. in the area of 3000 East Livia Drive, which is just southwest of Crimson Ridge Park.
Police say that a vehicle turned left in front of a scooter, causing a collision. Medics airlifted both teen riders to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 18-year-old Christina Juliana Johnson, fled the scene of the accident. Police located and arrested Johnson a short time later on multiple charges, including driving under the influence, failure to remain at the scene, and operating a vehicle resulting in bodily injury.
