Narrative
WASHINGTON, UT – A two-vehicle crash on the south side of Washington resulted in fatal injuries for one person Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. at the intersection of South Washington Fields Road and Merrill Road, which is north of Majestic Fields Elementary School and south of Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park.
Police say that an eastbound Mini Cooper collided with a southbound garbage truck when the driver of the Mini Cooper failed to yield right of way.
The man driving the Mini Cooper died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
No other injuries have been noted in connection to the accident.
