WAYNE CO., UT – One driver died, and two other people went to the hospital after a wrong-way collision along a state highway in Wayne County.
The accident happened sometime before 9:29 a.m. on UT-24 near mile marker 119.
Police say that a southbound Buick LeSabre crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a northbound Hyundai Santa Fe, killing the driver of the Buick at the scene and seriously injuring the driver and passenger in the Hyundai. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
Authorities are investigating whether impairment might have played a role in the crash.
