OGDEN, UT – One man died, and at least two others went to the hospital Friday when a hit-and-run driver caused at least two accidents in Ogden.
The first incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at 20th Street and Harrison Boulevard, which is just northwest of Fresh Market Ogden.
Police say that a reckless driver struck a vehicle, pushing it into a pedestrian in the intersection. The pedestrian, since identified as James W. Wood, died after transport to an area hospital.
The driver that caused the crash fled the scene and struck another vehicle at Canyons Road and Harrison Boulevard. At least two people from that vehicle went to the hospital with serious injuries. They are expected to recover.
Police located and arrested the driver that caused both accidents on charges of DUI and homicide involving an automobile. He’s been identified as 26-year-old Tyson Bryce Treasure.
