Narrative
ROY, UT – Officials closed lanes on 6000 South Street in Roy after a driver crashed into an electric pole on Monday.
The incident sometime in the morning on the southbound side of 3500 West at 6000 South Street, which is on the western outskirts of the city.
Police say the driver fell asleep while driving, left the roadway, and collied with the power pole. Photos taken at the scene show substantial damage to both the vehicle and the pole.
No injuries have been reported thus far.
